Beige Renegade

So, this post was supposed to be about this incred oversized twill jacket. Doubtless you'll have spied it on Ellen and Queen C (as I did) and thought, 'let me at it'. I was buzzing to track it down in H&M at Oxford Circus, an even more excited to flex my Elle discount card at the till. But when it came to shooting, however, my heart was rapidly broken. In short- it looked absolutely minging on me. (I realise this keeps happening, and I keep having make excuses for my inate lack of- well- everything. A rethink is deffo in order, along with a diet and possibly, a dramatic haircut). I ended up taking off said jacket and snapping in just a vest and skinnies. Can you imagine what would Miranda Priestly say? Exactly. But don't let me put you off. It's just the most on-point, oversized shape in the history of the world evvvvah. And Ellen and Camy prove it. Thank you and goodnight.

Easter Present From Me To Me

You've doubtless seen these pointy uber-babes flying round Instagram like nobody's beeswax. As per everyone else, I fell, at first sight. I had last year's epic Mango flats so I debated (reasonably) long and hard as to whether I should actually purchase these. Did I need them? Could I face the feet-shredding episodes again? Am I in the unfortunate Ed Milibandesque habit of asking myself questions? That'll be (in respective order):- not really, no but fuck it and it looks entirely possible. Since I can't eat any chocolate this Easter (or any hot cross buns, nor any Easter cake, nor anything much of anything really) I decided that these shoes would be my food-sub. By the end of the weekend, I may even look thin enough to wear them with skinnies :) Catch you soon xx

Thin Red Line

Green is my favourite colour, but dark red runs it a very close second. (What no black? Well, obvs, that's high up there too, but let's talk colour for a second). Aside from being the bestest shade for Autumn (that's official!), it has so many freaking good names: burgundy, maroon, wine (we like wine), claret (we like claret too), merlot, shiraz.....hang on....we seem to have gone a little vinocentric here. Anyroad, you get the idea :) I currently find myself lusting after that burgundy suit from Topshop (sadly not in stock currently, but it looks a lot like this...oh wait...here's the trews), a maroon bomber from H&M (s'like this...although this green is deffo speaking to me...and I wanna flex that Glamour voucher badly) and, of course, the Acne Canada (yum yum, come to mama). So, back to Zara/reality. This jumper is literally the best thing ever. I'd love to be dropping 45 quid on all their various knits, but this little beaut suits me just fine at 20 of yer English. Job done, stick a fork in me. In retrospect, a skinny jean may have worked better here, but I do love these Girlfriends (even if they make me look like I've been on the pies AKA Lemon Polenta Cake from Melrose & Morgan).
