Red Alert

I hate skater skirts. Swear down :) This probably seems like a) an outright lie, and b) slightly over-dramatic. Honestly though, I'd be so happy if I never saw or wore another one in my whole life. Unfortunately though, when you don't have a black skort in your wardrobe, and you look and feel spectacularly fat 99% of the time, then, actually, a little flared mini can seem like the best option. I've got some lush ripped black shorts that I hauled about here but I don't think no MOFO wants to see my cellulite, so those will have to remain on stand-by for now. (Should one ever become magically skinny and tanned).
Onto this cute red top which I picked up in Primark recently, on one of my many forays there. It's got a nice sporty vibe and although in my head I wanted to pair it with my ripped skinnies, I have kinda blogged those to death (as well as almost everything else I own) so out came the skater skirt. Again. This look is so far from how I wanna dress I can't even tell you. But I got nada else to show and tell with at the minute so I hope this unsophisticated mess won't hurt your eyes too much :) Have a fab weekend, catch you soon xx

Wild At Heart

I keep getting drawn to mesh tees this summer, but the ones I reeeallly like (in Topshop) are a little too expensive. This is where Primark comes to the rescue. This sporty beaut was only £4 and deffo does a job. Ok, so it's a bit scratchy- and I probably should've gone for a Size 10 (not an 8) to get that requisite baggy shape- but all in all, I reckon it's a winner :) Hope your Wednesday is going sportingly well, catch you soon xx
PS Any thoughts on my new location? I'm luvin' it!! Forever I've been wanting a brick wall to shoot in front of...and although there's, like, a gazillion people walking past (#londonproblems) every two seconds, at least there's no cars - and double-bonus- the light is strangely good. Of course, several creepy men nosy buggers have stopped to ask what I'm up to- my fave being "Are you doing a college project?" Which is nearly as good as getting asked "Have you got a student card?" or "Can I see your ID?". Lolz :)

I Don't Care, I Love It

I'm not quite sure why but I'd never tried 'Joni' jeans on before in Topshop until I pounced on these heart-printed versions...but I have to say, I'm massively impressed. I'd kinda dismissed them as strictly for tall thin girls with lovely flat tummies (none of which apply to me) but, nevertheless, I successfully shoe-horned myself in a pair of Size 25s and I love 'em :) It takes a lot for anything to make me feel thin, but strangely these do. You know when a fabric contains your fat, rather than your flab filling the material? Well, that's what these do. I've been a devotee of 'Jamie' jeans for a while now, but these could deffo give 'em a run for their money. Have you tried on any Joni's? I'd love to know if they keep their shape...hit me up! Happy Monday lovelies xx
PS How difficult is it to get that 'I don't care I love it' song out your head when you've heard it? Ridick catchy innit....worse than #blurredlines.....I need my headspace free for 1D tunes..ha!

So Caught Up

Do you ever read 'Look' magazine and say to yourself "Ooooh I know her!" and then "I know her too!", only to turn the page and find yet more piccies of top blogger babes whose work you love? Yep....me too :) Most weeks it's like an A to Z of top bloggettes and their rather excellent looks. So, a few weeks back they did a feature on 'tying a knot in your skirt'. It sounded a bit like WTF at first, but the photos they showcased made the whole trend make perfect sense. Kookie at Death By Platforms and Katie at Little Winter were featured with very cool knots in their maxis, so, I thought I'd give it a go. I'm not 100% convinced that it came out nicely in my piccies, but when I looked in the mirror I thought it worked priddy well :) This year maxi skirts seem to be slashed right up to the thigh (which is a hot look, no denying) but if you're feeling a little less daring then this might be the trend for you. Have a lovely weekend...I'm off to do some damage in the Zara sale....wooop!....catch you soon xx

Mind Games

Ever since Ant and Dec were mere popstars me and my lovely sister have been using the word 'psyche'. (Hasn't everyone? Oh no, just us then). So, as well as being very excited about the 2013 revival of 'Let's Get Ready To Rumble' I was doubly-triply-super-over-psyched (ha!) about finding this t-shirt in Primark. Not only is it like, my fave word, ever, but it's also an excellent rip-off of the very lush (very sold-out, very expensive) Acne slogan tees for S/S13. I've paired it here with my ripped Jamies and my fake Westward Leaning shades, as well as my feet-shredding vixen Zara heels. If you have these ankle-strap beauts you'll know just how much they hurt! But as Frenchie from Grease once said "beauty is pain". Hope you're having a gorge hot sunny Wednesday, catch you soon xx

Tribal Quest

The one advantage of the British weather being so random is that you get to wear a jumper with a mini skirt thus covering your highly unfortunate fat tummy. So, thank Thor for that....but it does rather limit down one's fashion possibilities. This tribal beaut would look good with all sorts of colours I reckon...but you could deffo just hippy-it-up with a tan sandal and a simple white vest too. If you likey get yours here...and oh lordy...just having seen the model wearing this I don't feel so bad :) It obvs has a nasty habit of bunching up and emphasizing bits you might not wanna emphasize....still got a lotta love for it though! Hope you're having a cracking Monday, laterz chicks x
PS Appaz you can import all the blogs you follow from Google Reader onto Bloglovin...wooop! Sounds promising dunnit? I can't bear the thought of not reading all the girlies I currently follow...anyone had a stab at this yet? I'm so deeply untechie and bound to screw it up so tell me if a simpleton such as I can do it :)

The Ones That Got Away

So, here's a few looks that for one reason or another didn't make it into a fully fledged blog post. (Hello is that the Lazy Police? I'm turning myself in!). Sometimes it's nice to just have a lil' overview of your wardrobe and see what you could mix-up/do better/revive/pair up with something else. Glancing at these piccies the following comes to mind: my Primark bombers are the bargain of the season at £7 each, illusion legginz from Topshop deffo make one look wayyy thinner than one is, I could do with a new hat (still gutted to have missed out on the 'New Icons' fedora), shame the blossom lasted for like, two minutes (such a priddy backdrop) and...I should probably pout a bit less :)
Other than that...I just Love.All.My.Clothes. Pathetic innit? I just wish there were more hours in the day and therefore more opportunities to wear more outfits! *Li-Lo Face*
If you've got any faves here...or if you've been wearing any of these pieces...lemmie know how you've styled them...and just generally what you think. Have a gorge weekend xx

Candy Girl

The second I saw this jumper on Topshop's website I knew I wanted it. With the weather being frustratingly unpredictable I figured a cute pink quilted jumper wasn't such an illogical summer purchase. I've tried to toughen it up a bit for this look with my usual black accessories and a nice pair of pre-mashed up denim shorts. How great are my stubby lil' legs? Lolz :) I also thought while I was working the whole pink 'thing' I'd attempt a matching mani. It's about the nearest a clumsy dipstick like me gets to nail art. Hope you likey, catch you soon xx

Ruby Monday

Just when you thought you couldn't take anymore of this skort.....Zara have only gone and hit us up with a version in bright red. Big soz to those who are completely skorted out....but I couldn't resist :) I already have the cobalt- which I'm j'adoring- but I think I even love this one a tiny bit more. It goes with so many things it's cray. You wouldn't think it, but swear down, it does. Lots of love, happy skorting or anti-skorting (delete as appropriate), catch you soon xx

Colour Blocking

I love nail polish. (No kidding!). There's something weirdly addictive about seeing rows and rows of bottles all lined up *Grown Up Sweets Face*. I can't even get my head around the fact that a few short years ago I only ever painted my nails, week in, week out, in Essie's 'Adore-A-Ball'. And that was it. What was I thinking? Since then, me, and just about everyone else in the whole wide world have embraced colour. And nail art. And special effects. Almost to the point where a sheer neutral nail is starting to look fresh. I don't think I'm quite ready to return to 'The French' just yet, and so, in honour of colour I thought I'd just share a few piccies of my most worn shades. I've seen some pretty inspiring nail polish posts about recently, and whilst this isn't the most inventive way to showcase some of my collection, hopefully you can still get a nice sneaky peek into my faves. Tons of my bottles seem to have mysteriously gone M.I.A. (I blame my sister, of course!!) but whilst they're on the AWOL list let's do a run through what I've actually managed to snap (deep breath!).
Rimmel (from left to right): Sky High, Blue Eyed Girl, Too Cool To Tango, Round And Round The Garden, At Ease, Caramel Cupcake, Little Bo Peep, Mary Mary Quite Contrary, Ring A Ring O' Roses, How Do You Lilac It.
Essie (from left to right): Turquoise And Caicos, Mojito Madness, Stylenomics, Bobbing For Baubles, Mesmerised, Butler Please, No More Film, Recessionista, Secret Stash, Don't Sweater It, Miss Fancy Pants, Chinchilly, Blanc.
Nails Inc (from left to right): Porchester Square, Basil Street, Jermyn Street, God Knows, No Clue, Motcomb Street.
Do you have any of these in your collection? Which are your faves? Shout me a holler :) Have a lovely colourful weekend, catch you soon x

Dress You Up

So, it's finally 20 degrees (woo!) and time to flash some flesh (gah!). This darling little dress is a recent purchase from River Island. It's kinda hippyish which I'm digging, madly. I just wanna be one of those girls with plaits in her hair and no make-up wafting through a field, y'know? :) I can't find my frock online but this one is kinda similar in vibe (man). I'm just craving a boiling hot day where you wear nothing but a dress and a sandal and feel all relaxed and drink Coke Floats and wait for 'Summer Breeze' to come on the radio.......
Happy Daydreaming, catch you soon x
PS Just gotta give props to St Tropez Wash Off Glow Mousse which I slapped on hurriedly for these pics. It's pretty ledge, dries straight away and doesn't transfer onto clothes. I like!! (I'm sure Hippy Girl wouldn't have to use fakers but reality bites when you're a pale Londoner!)
PPS Soz about all the distortion and wotnot in these pics...I'm just struggling massively with strong sunlight and shadows and Autofixing and all that shizz.

True Blue

Fashionistas Beware! Cobalt Overload Alert! Until I put this outfit together I'd been avoiding wearing together two of my 'Most Worn' purchases of the season so far, namely: my New Balance trainers and my fave Topshop sweatshirt. I just thought they'd be too Matchy-Matchy. And not in a good way. But actually, I kinda like them as a combo. More and more I'm finding, I'll put together an outfit to blog thinking it'll look better in photos than in real life....only to find....I dig what I didn't think would work...and I can very happily incorporate that new mix of items into my wardrobe 'repetoire'. Hopefully that makes more sense than I think it does :)
Have a lovely sunny Monday catch you soon xx
