Colour Blocking

I love nail polish. (No kidding!). There's something weirdly addictive about seeing rows and rows of bottles all lined up *Grown Up Sweets Face*. I can't even get my head around the fact that a few short years ago I only ever painted my nails, week in, week out, in Essie's 'Adore-A-Ball'. And that was it. What was I thinking? Since then, me, and just about everyone else in the whole wide world have embraced colour. And nail art. And special effects. Almost to the point where a sheer neutral nail is starting to look fresh. I don't think I'm quite ready to return to 'The French' just yet, and so, in honour of colour I thought I'd just share a few piccies of my most worn shades. I've seen some pretty inspiring nail polish posts about recently, and whilst this isn't the most inventive way to showcase some of my collection, hopefully you can still get a nice sneaky peek into my faves. Tons of my bottles seem to have mysteriously gone M.I.A. (I blame my sister, of course!!) but whilst they're on the AWOL list let's do a run through what I've actually managed to snap (deep breath!).
Rimmel (from left to right): Sky High, Blue Eyed Girl, Too Cool To Tango, Round And Round The Garden, At Ease, Caramel Cupcake, Little Bo Peep, Mary Mary Quite Contrary, Ring A Ring O' Roses, How Do You Lilac It.
Essie (from left to right): Turquoise And Caicos, Mojito Madness, Stylenomics, Bobbing For Baubles, Mesmerised, Butler Please, No More Film, Recessionista, Secret Stash, Don't Sweater It, Miss Fancy Pants, Chinchilly, Blanc.
Nails Inc (from left to right): Porchester Square, Basil Street, Jermyn Street, God Knows, No Clue, Motcomb Street.
Do you have any of these in your collection? Which are your faves? Shout me a holler :) Have a lovely colourful weekend, catch you soon x

Mad About The Boy

My love for Harry Styles knows no bounds. Has there ever been a more divine child on the planet? He's just so.....lovely, intelligent, mature, quirky, cute, naughty...and, of course, very stylish.
Cut to Topshop at the weekend. There I was, browsing round the nail polish section, when I spied these two girls standing by two mystery machines. We got talking and it turns out these A-M-A-Z-I-N-G contraptions produce none other than instant nail art. I was agog. Especially as my nail art skillz are approximately nil. I browsed through their handy iPad of possible designs...and there he was....my boy...Harry...available to instantly be 'painted' on my nail. O-M-G. Where do I sign?
I happened to have already painted my nails the day before (with Essie's 'Butler Please' and 'Blanc') and it turned out that my white feature nail was the perfect backdrop for whatever design I chose.
You simply put your nail into the machine, which then clamps shut to keep your finger in place. A minute or so later your nail comes out perfectly decorated. A quick brush of topcoat and you're good to go.
The company are called Flash ON Nails, their website is here
They do all sorts of amaze nail type shizz so check 'em out :)
I also got my other feature nail 'flashed' with some Louis Vuitton graffiti art, and very pleased I am with it too :) (You're probably gonna tell me I've been living in a cave and you can get your nails done by these machines everywhere, but it's all new to me...and super-exciting). Please excuse my hands in these pictures- they are pure skank. I've got the worst circulation and my skin colour tends to oscillate between 'dead man blue' and 'farmhand red'.
Just to mention- my jumper is a new one from Topshop as well, it's more of a fine knit than their fantastic cropped ones, but with a similar waffle texture thing happening. Hope you're having a lovely Monday, catch you soon xx

White Lines (Don't Do It)

So, here's some lovely new hauls, plus some lil' outfit ideas that are swirling round in my tiny mind at the minute. It's pretty impossible to avoid monochrome right now (I don't think Zara have anything other than black and white in store) and I'm going with it, big time.
I'm loving jolts of colour too, and I've gone for a cobalt blue here, in the form of one of those lovely waffle Topshop jumpers (yes, another one!) and this divine A-line mini. I'm needing a white shoe to set these beauts off, like a desperado :)
You'll spy some nail art pens here (my first) and I tried them out yesterday in a shockingly useless attempt that can only be described as a massive fail. I'm truly rubbish at this game, and am in total awe of all the amazing nail girlz out there.
Happy Monday, catch you soon xx
