The Death Of The Trainer? Not So Much

Earlier this year, Pandora Sykes- whom I adore and worship- declared the trainer to be dead. To be honest, I could totally see where she was coming from. In pure fashion terms, the Stan Smith, the Superstar and even the Old Skool had all been very much gobbled up by the mainstream, and had seemingly had their moment. Me personally? I'm a sneakerhead, and will always be so. Thankfully, Scandi gals weren't having any of this death thing- they embraced kicks again- and where Scandis go, everyone else follows (even Pandora agrees), and so, at the moment I'm eagerly coveting a list as long as my arm (the Balenciaga Triple S, Eytys Angel, Stella's Eclipse, Acne's Manhattan and Louis Vuitton's new offering for S/S18); but my latest additions to my collection are on my feet as we speak- the Clean 360  from Axel Arigato. Straight To The Point

I don't think I've ever wanted a shoe more in my entire life, than the Balenciaga Knife Mule. I checked FarFetch everyday until I finally found a pair of Size 5s *victory dance*, and they are undoubtedly satin perfection. They actually seem to go with everything too, in a clashy clashy kinda way, but I've paired them here with some check pants. So, let's be real for second- satin mules aren't really ideal footwear for popping to Sainsbury's or hanging out at the pub, and such a beautiful shoe naturally comes with a hefty price tag. So far, the high street has been a leeeeetle bit slow to dupe these babies, but.....Jessica Buurman have come through with a copy, and if you want a reallllly cheap hit then try these. Check Up

Loads of bloggers seem to have these tartan troosers, and I can't blame them as they are absolute beasts. (Beast = good in my world. If I like a boy, he's a complete beast. So now you know). I realllly love the fit and feel of these (soz about the VPL- oops!). I thought any one of my many auld navy jumpers would go, but they all looked kinda wrong. Why does that always happen? I never believe in 'investment' dressing- do you? Things change soooo freakin' quickly in fashion that even stuff that's 3 months old can look totally 'wrong'. I went for this red sweater in the end but it's a bit too matchy-matchy for me (and not in a 'good' way). I need summat oversized and totally volumey. And...new..ha! :) Anyhoo, hope you are feeling better than me at the minute- I'm having the worst time of it- I'm literally half dead, dizzy as fuck, with like, permanent sea sickness. I hate hate hate having to go to the doctor...but I've bitten the bullet and made an appointment. Fingers crossed I've got a virus that makes you reallllly thin :)  Much love, catch you soon xx
