My New Obsession

They say it's all in the details, and in this case they're not wrong. Allow me to introduce you to my latest obsession....hair clips. They might seem insignificant, maybe even just a touch twee, but I've fallen hard for them lately. (It's literally me and hair clips sitting in a tree RN). The doyenne of this particular accessory is the incredible French jewellery designer Charlotte Chesnais. Her beautiful egg-shaped slide is top of my wishlist ATM, but all her work is dreamy AF. Gucci have dropped their own cult crystal-embellished clip, but if your budget doesn't stretch then Mango have got some nice ones, as do Accessorize (they're the ones I'm wearing here). Summer's A Comin'

I never really go into Forever 21 that much as it generally leaves me feeling a teeny bit disappointed and makes me wish I'd just gone to Primark instead. However, on a recent outing there I did manage to find a couple of little beaut pieces. This white crop top was, like, £4.95- we like :) The black bra top has got quite bit of uplift action going on (never a bad thing) and looks good under the croppie in a slightly Avril Lavigne 'Complicated' kinda way. I picked up the shorts in H&M and, yep, I am now the owner of another pair of slides. I did use a voucher though *Slightly Justified I'm Not Really An Insane Shoe Addict Face* Catch you soon xx

Rhapsody In Blue

I couldn't wait to buy these troosers when I first spied them but...just a little heads up.....1) they crease like bastards and 2) they have a tendency to fall down, so go for the smallest size you can. Aside from that, they are ledge. The side-zip detail is to die and they are super-comfy. I'm also priddy pleased with this cropped Breton I picked up recently too...but...I think I must've bought at least 10 striped tops in the last four weeks alone. Ooops :) *Addict Face* And....yeah...I did change shoes half way through shooting this. I was just too desperate to get my slides on, but in retrospect black doesn't really go with blue in this instance. (Normally I like a bit of a blue-black clash thing, but I think we can consider this a fail. Maybe a black top would blend a bit more). Any thoughts? Lemmie know :) xx

Crop It Like It's Hot

Originally, I wanted to put this very cute cropped knit with a nice high-waisted trouser. I've seen Amy Magpie rocking a number of excellent high-waisted looks recently, and I wanted to give it a whirl myself. I hauled a couple of (what I thought were suitable) pairs of trews from Zara and was all set to shoot. But- disaster darling- when it came to the crunch something just wasn't working for me and I retreated into the safety of a skinny jean. I say retreated, I mean shoe-horned, obvs. Whilst I'm clearly wayyyy too fat to be working a jean this tight with a cropped top I just can't help but luvin' these leather-patch skinnies to the max. (Can't find the link for them...soz!) Normally I do a massive diet-drive in the last few weeks before Crimbo so I can have a lovely indulgent time over the holidays....looks like I need to re-double my efforts!
