7 Very Important Style Questions (And Answers)

I've seen a lot of bloggers recently do Q and As with themselves. Whilst a bit WTF and narcissistic, I thought I'd jump on the hype anyway. So let's get asking and answering. When I say "let's" I mean "me me me". (Seriously though, Freud would have to write another volume with all this ego flying around).
1. What Do You Buy In Bulk?
I have a few Cos Breton tops as they're really quite cheap and I love the shape. I also always repurchase Gap bra tops as I hate wearing normal bras (backache city). I always used to buy loads and loads of  Topshop Jamie jeans, until I made the leap to Acne Skin 5s and now they're the only skinny I wear.
2. What Have You Worn And Regretted?
I actually never regret anything I wear as I know at the time I loved it and thought I looked the bomb. I used to be wayyy more out there when I was younger (I was a club-kid and very experimental) but even when I think back to some of those outfits now I'm still pleased with them! Having said all that perhaps wearing a Juventus top at university was ill-advised (particularly given that I support Fiorentina). In my defence however, it was stolen (off my bezzie's boyfriend) with the aim in mind of getting Rob off the football team to notice me. It dint work though, obvs. He did throw a football at my head once though on the grass outside the refectory which I took to have great passive-aggressive significance.
3) What's The Most Daring Thing You've Ever Worn?
Back to my clubbing days again, I once wore a Whistles bikini top for a night out with a pair of very low slung 501s. Thinking back it was a ledge move :)
4) What Trends Do You Never Tire Of?
I always love a 60s revival. That whole Bardot thing of a Breton, a skinny cropped trouser, ballet flats, a hair band and a cat-eye. I also love an It Bag. And I've 'invested' in a lot of 'em. Oops.
5. What Will You Never Wear?
I'd like to think I won't do bandage dresses or stripper heels or Michael Kors watches, but who knows?
I also absolutely hate those fake Converse that Ash do.
6. Who Is Your Dream Wardrobe Swap?
I'd like to just roam around Tamara Ecclestone's closet simply coz I reckon it's so vast. I also think Kate Bosworth's 'drobe is probably heavenly. And maybe Mary-Kate and Ashley's too.
7. Do You Prefer Heels Or Flats?
Flats flats and more flats. I can't walk in heels at all- I look like a tranny.

One Hump Or Two

In one corner we have The Holy Grail. In the other, nowt. A camel coat should be there but it ain't. Reason? I.Cannot.Freaking.Find.One. But wait.....what? You're wearing one you silly girl. Welllll, gotta confess- this beaut of a coat isn't mine. Nope. It's my mum's. Can you see how freaking well made it is, and the kwality of the wool? That's coz it's Zadig & Voltaire. But not yer regular Z&G. It's actually from their Deluxe line, which means it's, big big bux. Like, huge. Ridick. Insane. It's also about 3 years old now (how ahead of the curve is mumsy?) so you can't even track this bugger down. All I can say is that I wish it was mine, and that the search continues. In fact, a boyfriend may be easier to come by. Actually, on second thoughts.....Catch you soon x PS Soz about the grey socks

Oh Yes She Did

The whole season long, I've been toying with the idea of an over-the-knee boot. Should I? Could I? Would I? Luckily, DuoBoots solved my dilemma for me with this stunning pair of Dita suede lovelies. They are seriousssly comfortable and super-easy to wear. Do I feel like I should be starring in Dick Whittington wearing them? Actually, not so much (although I do love a panto it has to be said, don't you?). So here's the thing- when ordering from Duo you enter into a whole new world of calf sizes. First of all I was like "Oh shit, another thing to be fat-paranoid about"- but basically all it means is you end up with a custom-fit boot, which is deffo no bad thing. I can honestly say that your feet (and legs) will be very pleased with you this Christmas if you feel the urge to self-gift a pair of these :) That urge is seemingly permanent with me. Gun Emoji. And yes I am wearing a tea cosy on me heid. Catch you soon xx

This Is England

Bomber jackets are priddy much my most favouritist thing evah. Last year I bought four (oops), so this year I've been trying to chill my boots and restrain myself from any further purchases. But then....Filipa K happened. This beaut of a jacket had me at Halla. (Swedish Face). I spied it on loads of Scandi bloggers, all over IG and also on the ultimate Italian babe that is Giorgia Tordini. I knew one had to be mine. However a) it's basically sold out everywhere and b) it's freaking expensive. (Liberty stock a bit of FK, but not the jacket). So, who should come riding in on a white charger? Topshop, obvs, with this cheeky lil' dupe. I've been trying super hard not to buy anything this month (electricity bill came and went, eye test came and went- new glasses required, Christmas coming sooner than you think, yadda yadda yadda); but this had me splashing that (non existant) cash. I bought a 12 as it's not very oversized, and very happy I am with it too. You feelin' the bomber love? Lemmie know! Catch you soon xx

And So To Bed

The White Company catalogue is like porn for girls, isn't it? Every time that baby lands on the doormat I'm all over it, sighing and cooing, and wishing I lived in a beautiful whitewashed house lounging around all day, every day, in pyjamas and a cashmere dressing gown. Luckily, fashion has totally tuned into this sartorial chillaxing. First there was Kate Moss's amaze silk pyjama jacket from back in the summer. It was so sick I nearly cried. Then there was Zara's dressing gown coat (which a lorra lorra bloggers seem to have gone cray for- I tried it on and disappeared. There was literally no me. I was all coat. Some may say that's no bad thing. But let's leave that debate for now). And then there was this very wearable belted cardi, which Daria wore so beautifully in the Mango AW campaign. (What doesn't Daria wear beautifully? You're right. Silly fucking question). Not only is this stunner non-overwhelming and easy-peasy to wear but it's also in....drumroll.....a very covetable shade of camel. (What shade of camel isn't covetable? You're right, silly fucking question). So, here's to lazing, lounging, loafing, wearing blankets and having a very photogenic house/child/labrador :) xx
PS Yeah, I know. No sunnies. Again. Since I lost my Other Stories ones nothing else feels right. Isn't it awful when you look at your face and think is "Jeeeezus Christ all I can see is my mum, my dad and all four grandparents"?

Borderline

I bought this excellent stripey shirt a while back after having seen it on the uber-minimalist ledge that is Stevie Rose Ray. I was thinking I could tuck. But no. I is wayyyy too fat for that kinda shizzle (as you'll see from the half-tuck pics that have snuck into this post. Is it only me that shoots a hundred frames only to discover that ninety of 'em look complete balls?)
Anyroad, the shirt is lovely and silky and floaty and I deffo don't have owt else like it on the floordrobe. Honest :) And yep, I did a little shoe change mid-sesh. Sadly, I don't think the mules make me look any thinner. (That was the hopeful logic behind their appearance). Swear down, if I told you what I eat you'd say "Buh? You should be 7 stone FFS!" And I'd have to agree :) Catch you soon xx PS I'm in love with Alex Pettyfer. That is all.

Girls And Boys

I'm still not actually sure what the whole concept of a 'girlfriend' jean is, but when they landed in Topshop a while back I duly trotted along to the changing room clutching a pair and gave them a whirl. Firstly I tried to squish myself into a pair of Size 26s. With a 30 leg. That was top comedy for a start-off. Mostly coz I couldn't get them done up. There is a zero-stretch situation going on here (unlike Jamies and Leighs in which I normally take a 25). Ok, deep breaths, 'you're not actually fat' I told myself (funny how I looked in the mirror and saw Pinocchio staring back at me); as I went for Round 2 with a Size 28. They also had a 30 leg and similarly looked ridick. I thought 'fuck this for a game of soldiers' and wandered off for a Diet Coke and a quick cry. But last week I spied on Toppers website that a new jean style had dropped, namely, the Lucas. I thought they looked priddy damned hot, so I went for another trying-on sesh. Now the Lucas is billed as a 'slim boyfriend' (thanks, I'll take two), but whaddya know- on me they are, basically, skinny. Nice jean an' that, but you've deffo gotta be a lean bitch to get the requisite 'bag'. But, I also took into the changing room with me another girlfriend jean, this time in a 'black wash' finish, Size 28 with a 32 leg. And...we have a winner. I realllly like them. I get them! I'm super-happy! And hopefully now I can stop lusting after some Acne Pop Boyfriends. Long boring story over, catch you soon :) x
