A Shorts Story

If it's one thing I never thought I'd be wearing it's white shorts. I haven't ever felt thin enough to venture into such- shall we say- 'Hey Look At Me!' territory before; but this year I've lost some weight and I'm going for it. (Not to say you have to be 'thin' to wear anything you god damn want to- and what even is thin anyway? I'm guessing everyone has a different definition). I picked up these shorts in Topshop with low expectations (mostly coz of the aforementioned), but when I got them home and tried them on I was pleasantly surprised. I've teamed them here with a simple men's black shirt (I prefer the fit) to counter balance the 'high exposure' factor. Would you wear short shorts? Let me know x

Grass Is Greener

Gotta admit....I'm having a little love affair....with....everything khaki right now. So far I've hauled this lovely floaty vest, a cotton shirt, some cargos (Oh hi 90s!) and an amazing hippy top. I've also gone slightly cray for a longer length short lately, and I picked up these beauts in H&M for £14.99. (Didn't realise they came in a faded blue too...might have to get those an' all). Speaking of  'so cheap, gotta have it' I also scooped up these darling lil' mules in H&M while I was there, now down to fifteen quid in the sale :) My 'No Buy July' pledge has been well and truly broken.

Pure & Simple

All of a sudden, I'm in love with ballet tops. (I don't actually know if a scoop neck top with a three-quarter sleeve is actually called a 'ballet top', but that's what I'm going with). I just like the simplicity of 'em, so I've bought one in black (from H&M) and one in grey (from River Island like this). I'm kinda relieved it's still effin' freezing right now as the thought of getting my monstrously cellulite-ridden stumpy milk-bottle legs out for the world to see is a terrifying thought. Plus, I quite like the whole 'shorts over tights' thing. Hope your Thursday is going ever so well......it's 2 days to 1D.......squeal, faint, psyche! xx
