Céline Baby Cabas

When I first got my PPI cheque I didn't even dare look at it. I just held it, took deep breaths and then crossed myself approximately seventeen times. Ain't gonna lie- it wasn't as much as I was hoping for. My battle to get any kind of payout at all has been ridiculously epic, with my bank at one point even denying I was a customer of theirs. (Serious case of WTF). But at the end of the day, I'm now a rich bitch. Ha! (Well, at least, it feels like it, if only for a hot minute). Naturally, once I'd got over the shock, excitement, and slight disappointment of receiving my cheque- my thoughts immediately turned to handbags. And the wish list compiling began in a flash.

My mum tells me one of the first words I ever learnt to say was 'baggie'. I even went round Disney World, aged seven, carrying a clutch bag and wearing large shades. (#yergetme) So, to say I'm an obsessed bag-laydee is something of an understatement. The bags I dream of owning are many and marginally varied, at any one time. Currently, it stands like this: Chloe Faye (large), Chloe Faye (small), Céline Trio, Céline Belt Bag, Céline Knot Bag, Céline Cabas Phantom, Céline Box Bag, YSL Sac Du Jour (small), YSL Universite, Balenciaga Mini Papier, Loewe Puzzle, Gucci Dionysus, APC Half Moon, Marni Trunk, Chanel Wallet On A Chain and every colour bucket bag that Mansur Gavriel make, (plus quite a few more). My sister's nickname for me is 'Greedy' and I can totally see where she's coming from with that one :) However, I didn't delay in getting my shop on and it's now not gonna be any great surprise to you- given the title of this post- that I went in- and I went Céline. I'd actually seen the Baby Cabas before and dismissed it (you know, coz I used to be poor); and I also had slight concerns about the proportions (it's on the small side for a tote). But I had a lovely time swanning round Céline like Lady Loadsamoney, and Melanie there is my new BFF. It was terrifying and exhilarating to just drop big cash bombs and not really have to stress about it. In fact, I got the wind in my sails verrrry quickly and started thinking about a knot bangle and a wallet and all sorts. But I want my fundage to stretch to some other stuff- like an Olympus Pen, and an Acne scarf, some Eames chairs, and maybe a few tinier treats too. So, thank you bank for ripping me off, then paying me back (eventually), thanks to my beaut sis for her perseverance in the whole matter (she's my rock) and thank you Phoebe P for being such a ledge. This bag lady is one happy obsessive.

I promise I'll inject some colour into my life soon, but in the meantime let's just lust summore over monochrome. I heart a coffee-table book quite majorly (don't you?). I have a ton of Vogue ones, but this Tom Ford tome would enhance my collection greatly. I've already seen a few bloggers in this McQ knit, it's really too sick. Oh, and if you don't want this Zanotti boot I question your sanity. (Handily, Zara have done the most ridick copy ever). Catch you soon dolls xx

No Mean Feet

One of my New Year's Rezzies was to find The Holy Grail. I figured it would probably be easier than trying to find a boyfriend :) But as difficult as it seems to be to find a nice, cute single boy in LDN these days, hunting down a pair of Celine check skater shoe dupes has proven to be equally hard- until now. So, big love to TopShop for finally stepping up to the plate. Kate Phelan, I heart you.

Naturally, when I spied these bad boys in Oxford Circus a couple of weeks ago I was all over them- like Lee Ryan on a passing brunette. Doubtless, several billion other bloggerettes are gonna be all over them too.  But, it's like...Celine lookey-likeys for £20? Of course I'm gonna freaking get them! Plus- massive bonus- shoes can't not text you back, be mean, lie to you, 'borrow' your car, make a mess in your flat, prefer your best mate, talk all the way through Made In Chelsea, or, just generally be a prick. Disco Fever

Confession: My PS 11 Mini guilt finally got the better of me. I woke up in a cold-hot sweat one night and thought 'I can't possibly justify spending that much on a teeny tiny bag...it's gotta go back!'. (Saddest Face Ever). But my craving for a cross body bag just wasn't going anywhere. I toyed with the idea of a Celine Trio. Heaven! So Minimal! So Cool! Then little Gucci thoughts kept popping into my head. Especially as the Soho Disco bag is approximately half the price of the Proenza Schouler. I tried this beaut on...and that was it...I was love struck. (Not Shocked At All Face). I implored my sis who was luckily hitting up Terminal 5 (on the way to LA), and I am now the very proud owner of a tax-free cross body bag most excellent :) And, you can actually get shizz in this bag (not summink to be overlooked, really). Naturally, there's a few Towies popping up wearing it, ruining it a bit for girls who see this babe as a touch more minimal than the average Essex girl does. But hey-ho, that's how the bag cookie crumbles I guess. Hope your festivities are going well, catch you soon xx

Little White Lies

So, I might've told a teeny little porky pie about sticking my legs under wraps until next year. But putting tights with this beautiful skirt would have been a fashion travesty, non? Like some sort of crazed Phoebe Philo groupie, I just keep returning to Celine's A/W 13 collection for inspo. I.Just.Can't.Put.It.Down. iHaul 2.0

I couldn't resist this shamaze check jumper in Topshop when I hit up Oxford Circus last weekend....all the while thinking and dreaming of this Stella Knit. It's kinda skimpy and not nearly oversized enough for me, but I'll shoot it nonetheless and see how the hell it turns out.

I've actually become a bit of a New Balance addict of late. If I could have 574s in every colour I think I would. These'll probably be the next in my shopping basket. They are ridick comfy and make me that much needed inch or two taller. I've also gone for this heavenly A/W 13 Essie colour 'Vested Interest'. It's perfect.

I also scooped up this top in Zara a couple of weeks back. It kinda puts me in mind of a Trapeze Bag. God, I crave a Trapeze like an Instagram Rich Kid. Phoebe is doing this colourway for S/S 14 so I'm feeling it might have some longevity.

And finally, who can resist burgundy? These Gap coated skinnies are my new go-to. Obvs, I'd love some Kate Bozzie x Topshop leathers or some Izzie x H&M side lace pants but I just got my gas bill and it wasn't a priddy sight. Furthermore, Topshop have changed their beanies this year, and I'mma have a hissy fit about this unfortunate development. Mostly coz the new ones are scratchy and pre-turned-up. Still, the shape is better than most and actually fits my fat swede. Get yours here.

Phoebe Or Not To Be

As we all know, Zara are freaking amaze at paying homage to the best of the best when it comes to designers. Namely: Celine, Balenciaga and Stella. (Not to mention Hedi and a little bit of Isabel too). Some people think "Jeeez, that's blatant duping, can that be legal?", but I just think "When's payday?" As much as I would love love love to have a wardrobe comprising of nowt but pieces by Phoebe and Alex and Stella, that shit ain't ever gonna happen. So, in short, thank-you Zara :)
