Lemonade Girl

Like a very predictable fashion boomerang I keep coming back to yellow and black, but it's a colour combo that's still ticking the fash boxes for me. This Topshop jumper is my new favourite thing, plus it's a nice weight to carry through to Spring (should it ever actually get here). Of course, everyone in the whole wide world has this shirt, but it really is the best purchase I've made so far this year, I reckon. There's just something in the way it drapes, and that there's two different fabrics...and well, the fact it's dirt cheap deffo doesn't hurt either :) How's your week going thus far? Mine's been hectic..and expensive...oops :) Much love, bye for now xx

The Cat In The Hats

I love a hat. You may have noticed :) But when I shot this lil' monochrome look I couldn't decide which bit of headwear I wanted to roll with. So I snapped some pictures with both...and actually...I still can't make my mind up which I prefer! If you have any thoughts shout me a holla :)
Man, it's been super-freezing this weekend hasn't it? Spring, dude, hurry your ass up!!
I've actually not had the best weekend as it goes- my mummy was back in hospital for another operation (sad face). It was actually cancelled from Thursday when the hospital had a power-cut (encouraging!). And it meant that my plans to hop down to see 1D @ The O2 also had to be shelved. (More sad faces). But, by the power of Thor I will be going to see them when they're back in London Village in April. I may even go every night. Money no object :) New handbag....see ya!! Catch you soon xx

Chanel After Coco

Did you see the amaze film 'Coco Before Chanel'? I love watching French fillums and trying to understand them without reading the subtitles (yeah, right!). And isn't Marion Cotillard a doll? No-one wears Dior (ironically) comme her.
I've actually been wondering what Coco would make of the recent bastardizations of her logo that seem to be adorning many a blogger's tee these days. Would she hate or tolerate? Hate, I'm guessing. Kasier Karl has said that he's positively sure that she'd despise lots of what he does...so....that's alright then :)
If you're craving a similar tee check out Studded Petals here.
Have a lovely weekend, fingers crossed it doesn't snow!

iHaul

So, here's some lovely stuff I've been buying. I know I'm a little late to the whole 'Melting Chanel' thing but this tee was well cheap so I happily jumped on the bandwagon. I decided my pleather bomber was a touch Tulisa (gah!) so I changed it for your standard-issue tuff gal nylon classic instead. Also on the jacket-front, I did't think I could live a moment longer without a baseball jacket in my life and this Topshop one is excellent. (It's actually more of a heavy duty cardigan, but I'm digging that). And I've also added another pair of Jamie jeans to my world too....I already have, erm, several pairs and I love 'em like a fat kid loves cake.
(Quite frankly I may well qualify for fat kid status myself shortly if I carry on munching away on scones and teacakes the way I seem to be).
The acid-wash mini is just pure heaven and is calling out for a bare leg like a MOFO. It's still way too cold for any of that just yet. (Hurry up and make it warm pleeeeze). You may have just noticed that I've also gone a lil cray-cray for a printed trooser here. But, what's not to like? All of these fit nicely and are such bargains, it's ridick. So I bought three pairs. Ooops :)
Check out my JW Anderson badge!!! I can't afford any of his new collection x Topshop but I managed to get my little token trophy collectable at the cashdesk...for freeeee! Woo!
And lastly, I don't think you're gonna find better than this Zara clutch...and it's got a freakin' shoulder strap. Too good.
Much love, bring on 1D @ The Brits tonight :)

Mad About The Boy

My love for Harry Styles knows no bounds. Has there ever been a more divine child on the planet? He's just so.....lovely, intelligent, mature, quirky, cute, naughty...and, of course, very stylish.
Cut to Topshop at the weekend. There I was, browsing round the nail polish section, when I spied these two girls standing by two mystery machines. We got talking and it turns out these A-M-A-Z-I-N-G contraptions produce none other than instant nail art. I was agog. Especially as my nail art skillz are approximately nil. I browsed through their handy iPad of possible designs...and there he was....my boy...Harry...available to instantly be 'painted' on my nail. O-M-G. Where do I sign?
I happened to have already painted my nails the day before (with Essie's 'Butler Please' and 'Blanc') and it turned out that my white feature nail was the perfect backdrop for whatever design I chose.
You simply put your nail into the machine, which then clamps shut to keep your finger in place. A minute or so later your nail comes out perfectly decorated. A quick brush of topcoat and you're good to go.
The company are called Flash ON Nails, their website is here
They do all sorts of amaze nail type shizz so check 'em out :)
I also got my other feature nail 'flashed' with some Louis Vuitton graffiti art, and very pleased I am with it too :) (You're probably gonna tell me I've been living in a cave and you can get your nails done by these machines everywhere, but it's all new to me...and super-exciting). Please excuse my hands in these pictures- they are pure skank. I've got the worst circulation and my skin colour tends to oscillate between 'dead man blue' and 'farmhand red'.
Just to mention- my jumper is a new one from Topshop as well, it's more of a fine knit than their fantastic cropped ones, but with a similar waffle texture thing happening. Hope you're having a lovely Monday, catch you soon xx

One Way Or Another

This little skirt is such a hottie. I bought the tartan version late last year....and when I saw the black I pounced. It's just such a neat shape and kinda flattering if you are narrowish of waist and heavy of thigh :)
How has your weekend been? I'm buzzing beyond belief as I've had a majeur experience combining my two fave things in the world....Harry Styles and fashion. Squeal! More on that soon :) Bye for now x

Bomber Command

Back in the day I used to wear bombers all the time. They were called MA1 jackets then- I'd pair mine with a skater skirt and then pile my hair up in a big pineapple on top of me heid, neatly accessorized with a delightful scrunchie (eeeek!). "What goes around comes back around", to quote Beyonce. Yes, even scrunchies- if the lovely Lydia Influx's latest blog post is anything to go by- (it might take a while for me to warm up to those again though).
They say you shouldn't wear something if you were there first time round- but let's throw that freakin' rule book out the window....coz this quilted bomber is to die. I've strangely not gone for a skater skirt here (shock!), but tried to keep things a bit more this century with a printed trouser. Hope you likey :) Have a fab weekend, catch you soon xx

Hello Kitty

Fashion's current obsession with vicious animals continues unabated- from Kenzo's tigers to Givenchy's sharks and rottweilers. But if your budget is minimal (and you hate waiting for dupes from China to arrive) then Zara is your friend :) I jumped on this sweater like a bad bitch when I saw it....but then...I realised mustard is *quite* a difficult colour to wear. I'm thinking it might come alive a bit more with a mid-blue jean, and maybe a nice pop of a cobalt stiletto. In the meantime, coz it's freezing and....coz I don't have any nice alternatives in my wardrobe (eye roll!!) here it is with some basic blacks. Happy Wednesday x
P.S Have you seen Posh's AW13 shows online yet? Whoever is designing her stuff is on freakin' point! P.P.S Apols for my dumb-ass smiley expression in photo two.....sometimes I completely forget to look 'Blue Steel' at all times...oops

Maroon Two

I just had to have these leggings in my life, but my search for them was about as stressy as Jessica Chastain's hunt for Bin Laden* (Spot the slight overstatement). I'd seen sooo many girls rocking them hard and every H&M I went into had zip zero nada maroon legginz. Cry face. I was distraught and on the verge of buying the black ones in Size 10.....when...GASP....one random shopping sesh united me with these beauts. There they were- a single lovely panelled pleather pair of burgundy leggings in Size 8 for the insanely ridick bargain price of £7.99. There is a god (and his name is Henry Cavill...holy moses, if you saw the BAFTAs last night, you'll know what I'm sayin').
Anyways, getting into these leg-casings was a whole 'nother ball game. (Should I just admit I'm a Size 10? Noooo...I shall never surrender!) If you ever saw the episode of the Kardashians where Kim has to jump around like a loon to get herself (and her ledge booty) into her skinny jeans then you'll know what was involved here. Lots of hopping, some ninja ballet moves and a sesh of severe breathing in finally got me dressed. (No lying down with these lovelies as the zip is at the back). And...well, I reckon they're worth it. Maroon is such a winter colour that I dunno how many wears I'll still get out of them this year.....but I care not. They were my fashion holy grail....and I found 'em :)

Green Day

You've probably seen this skirt in Topshop....maybe in the black or in the lovely ink blue both of which are divine, but I saw this khaki version and thought "Avin' That!". It's got some excellent details- the contrast in fabrics, the shape, but mostly for me- the best thing is that it actually fits! Normally I find waists on skirts can be a lil' too roomy for me (even in a Size 6...this is where Miss Selfridge comes running to the rescue with its handy Size 4s), but this fits good and proper in my normal Size 8 (which means it's not too short and the proportions look gooood). Anyways, what are you up to this weekend? It's my mummy's birthday and I'm buzzing as we've all bought her a joint prezzie- the ridiculously chic Tod's D-Bag. I'm super excited for her and deeply jell in equal measure. (Thankfully she wouldn't know what a blog was if it hit her on the head so there's no chance of her seeing this...phew!)

Social Animal

The lovely Charlotte from Social Wardrobe contacted me recently to be part of her site's big ole' competition thingy, for which I had to do an interview. It's really weird being on the other side of the table when it comes to interviewing- normally I'm the one asking the questions! I do like to drill down and get some juicy quotes from my victims interviewees :) Anyhoo, if you wanna check out the piece have a butchers HERE. There's also a bit on Facebizzle and Twitter here  and here if you wanna wander by. Have a lovely Thursday xx

True Blue

This skirt is a little piece of heaven, I mean...what's not to love about an A-Line cobalt neoprene mini? I'm hoping Topshop plan on doing this beaut in different colours, in the meantime get yours here.
It's still freezing out so I'm having to rock this look with dark colours but it's gonna look fresh fresh fresh with some white accessories in the warmer weather. (Broken record alert!) Have a wicked Wednesday, catch you soon xx

In The Red

Red is hot hot hot this S/S13 and I'm chomping at the fashion bit to jump on the rouge hype. I tried on this very lovely skirt in Topshop but it didn't sit quite right- Must.Get.Thinner. (I still heart it, mind you). So, I went for this much easier to wear (and quite a bit cheaper) River Island one instead. It's really darling, but due to my aversion to ironing it's got a bit crunkled in these pics, but hopefully you can still see its overall niceness
I had an absolute shocker of a weekend trying to shoot some new looks, what with strong bits of sunshine, a Force 10 gale and all sorts of random oddballs/Jamie Laing Wannabees trying to talk to me (Please.For.The.Love.Of.God.And.All.That.Is.Holy.Leave.Me.Alone); consequently I've got barely any outfits pending and quite a lot of lovely hauls waiting patiently to be committed to a memory card. Fingers crossed, I'll be able to do just that sooner rather than later. Lots of love, Happy Monday xx

Quilty Pleasure

This skirt is a pure beaut. I blogged it last week in when the snow hit, but the divine quilting got all blown-out in those pictures, so here it is again. I'm seriously feeling the whole 'lampshade' shape as well, although I guess it may be too sculptural for some slightly more restrained fashionistas :)
