Tiger Tiger Burning Bright

Like the rest of the fashion world I've gone completely cray-cray for sweatshirts this season. I can't get enough of 'em and this tiger motif one is perfect to add to my collection. Sometimes a sweatshirt can drown you a bit, so the fact that this one is slightly cropped makes me like it even more. Once again I have to apologize for the quality of my pictures. If there's anyone in the world more shit at photography than me I've yet to encounter them :) Have a rockin' Wednesday, catch you soon xx

White Lines (Don't Do It)

So, here's some lovely new hauls, plus some lil' outfit ideas that are swirling round in my tiny mind at the minute. It's pretty impossible to avoid monochrome right now (I don't think Zara have anything other than black and white in store) and I'm going with it, big time.
I'm loving jolts of colour too, and I've gone for a cobalt blue here, in the form of one of those lovely waffle Topshop jumpers (yes, another one!) and this divine A-line mini. I'm needing a white shoe to set these beauts off, like a desperado :)
You'll spy some nail art pens here (my first) and I tried them out yesterday in a shockingly useless attempt that can only be described as a massive fail. I'm truly rubbish at this game, and am in total awe of all the amazing nail girlz out there.
Happy Monday, catch you soon xx

Flakin' & Perpetratin'

The snow has disappeared (for now) and....I'm back to my normal scruffy self, after a minor foray into ladylike chic yesterday. This amaze sweatshirt- which I bought a couple of weeks ago- just does it for me. It's actually from the boys section in Primark (always good for a lil' scout round) and takes me back to being a kid. I was one of those annoying middle-class girls who grew-up listening to NWA and Public Enemy and thought I was extremely dope :) I still love hip hop now...mixed in with a bit of 1D, of course :) Anyhoo, I'm hoping the snow stays away tonight and I can shoot some nice spring pieces tomoz that I've hauled. Have a fab weekend.....droppin' some flava and kickin' some dope beats :) xx
P.S. Ignore the grey socks- they're not a style-statement- just the first ones I grabbed!

Belle De Jour

When I first saw Sandro's Peter Pan collar dresses at the beginning of the A/W 12 season I was desperate to have one in my life. I talked myself out of it and and made a promise to my bank account to wait for the sale. Then, one Saturday in Primark I saw this amazing dupe for £16 and grabbed a Size 8 pronto. Happily, it eliminated the need for the Sandro, and has been a go-to wardrobe staple ever since. It could even turn out to have unexpected longevity.....except......I saw a newsreader last night in a Peter Pan number...(eeeek), and instantly thought "Death Knell". Yet again I'm struggling with the light in my snow pictures. They're either completely blown-out (see above, not to mention hideously minging and weirdly ginger) or under-lit and gloomy (see below). Personally, I'm over the whole the snow thing, bring on a nice cloudy mild day that my camera- and my chilblains- can handle :) xx

Handbags & Gladrags

I'm a complete arm-candy addict. Bags are really the only big fashion purchases I make. And man alive, are the purchases big. I remember when bags were about £500 a pop (misty-eyed face) and although that's still insanely, ridiculously huge money, it didn't make you want to kill yourself when you'd spent it. Now all lust-worthy bags seem to top the £1000 mark. There's deffo something very wrong wrong wrong with that price-point situation. However, it doesn't stop the lusting and yearning for new potential buys, namely: a Givenchy Antigona, a Celine Luggage, a Celine Cabbas and a Prada Saffiano Two, in my case :)
In the meantime, here's a glimpse into my ongoing collection (well, part of it, the rest of my babies are at my Mum and Dad's!)
 Miu Miu Tote
This is the bag I lug around on a day-to-day basis. It's full of shit :) I got it in Selfridges a few years back and it's severely old and knackered but it does a job.
Alexander Wang Rocco
I love this bag but it's way heavy coz of the studs on the base. I also bought this is Selfridges, but with a very lovely 20% special shopping weekend discount. Wooo :)
Miu Miu Glazed Bow Bag
I've had this bag for about four years now. It's totally capacious (love that word) and I find that grey is so useful as a year-round colour (see also Alex Wang).
Mulberry Tillie
I bought this in the airport on the way to LA. We were running super-late so I had to make a very quick decision, which killed me a bit as I like to ponder big-ticket purchases. But as it turned out I've used it tons of times since and although it's bit fiddly and the hardware is vicious, I love it to bits.
Balenciaga Gold Stud Velo
I actually also have this bag in tan, which is ludicrously indulgent of me. I guess it looks a bit dated now and I should probably sell it, but it stresses me out to sell my stuff :) It's still amazing to use though as it's light and soft.
Marc Jacobs Quilted Single
I was saving up for a Chanel and it was taking forever. I happened to be bag browsing (plus ca change) and decided to just leap in and buy this instead, thinking "I'm never gonna have enough for a Chanel". Now that was probably completely the wrong decision, as a Chanel is ever further out of my reach and I will probably never own one (sad face). My Marc however, is a truly excellent handbag and I am totally glad I have it in my collection.....but I can't help still pining after that elusive Chanel :)

So, that was a little browse through my demi-collection. You'll notice there's something definitely missing...and that's colour! I seriously need to address that situation. Maybe when I get my next scratchcard I'll be able to :)

Snow Patrol

For some reason I thought that shooting in the snow would be super-easy. I presumed all the lovely white stuff would be an instant natural reflector and the light in the pictures would be ultra-dazzling and full of gorge clarity. Turns out....not so much. My camera, basically, was mugging me off all over the shop. It deffo does not like snow! These frames were the best of a bad bunch, and even so they are way grainy and rubbish. So apologies :) It's even more of shame given that my skater skirt is quilted pleather and quite the most amazing thing ever! Hopefully I can get some better shots of it when the snow melts. Have a fab Monday, catch you soon x

Drop It Like It's Hot

All of a sudden I've come round to the idea of a drop-waist. For ages I thought "Well, that's just gonna make me look short and fat" but then......Stella did this dress (and lots of lovely similar variations) and I got my eye into it. I've spied that H&M have done the most insane copy for S/S 13 and I'm deffo keen to get on that, but in the meantime......I've created my own half-baked version here. Basically, essentially, I've just layered a jumper over a skater skirt.....drop me out!!
The snow has hit hard in the last few hours, and gorgeous as it looks, Christ-On-A-Bike it makes doing stuff difficult.......but...I'm still gonna attempt to do some shoots this weekend. Have a lovely time frolicking about, catch you soon xx

Deeper Shade Of Blue

Topshop are really killing me at the minute. Why-Oh-Why-Oh-Why did they have to make this jumper in every shade going? I think my next purchase might be the emerald green version comme ca
I know I'm doing Fashion Groundhog Day with my jumper + skater skirt + beanie combos right now, even I'm bored :) But the weather is being such a bitch, it's wayyy too cold to contemplate some serious new season style 180s, but I've seen so many stunning things that I'm desperate to try out (crop tops, side-slash pencil skirts, white shoes, cut-out dresses, the list goes on) that the very second the temperature goes up I shall promise to send you to sleep no longer :) Keep warm and carry on! Line Up

I have to admit I'm a teeny bit bored of sale shopping (although Sandro and Maje are still luring me in, like the Bisto Kid) so; instead of going through Zara's well thumbed sale rails for the fifteenth time I decided to jump straight into the new season and buy this skirt. AND. I. LOVE. IT. It doesn't sit brilliantly (probably something to do with fat thighs) but it's still beyond cute. As I type, the snow is coming down hard on London Town, and it's making me itchy to get some ubiquitous 'Blogger-In-The-Snow' shots, but it's also making me wish for summer, BIG TIME. Anyways, have a lovely Monday white-out! xx
P.S. Randomly, I saw Natalie Hartley on Saturday. I wanted to run up to her and tell her I love her but that would've been very uncool wouldn't it?
P.P.S. Normal beanie service will be resumed shortly :)

Cold Hard Ground

I can't get Taylor Swift's 'Trouble' out my head at the minute. I don't think she even needs to write a new song about Harry...she's already hit the nail on the head! (Not that I don't J'adore him, obvs). Anyhoo, moving on to outfit shizz, this jumper is my new favourite thing in the world. It's actually pure shocking pink, but it didn't come out in photos like that (confused face). It's a super-wearable relaxed shape, and I reckon it'll go with just about anything. Apologies for the permanent beanie situation, but with a freezing cold weekend approaching I think my hats better stay welded to my head for the time being. Hope you have a good 'un, some #HarryHunting in the pub next to his new house is deffo on my To Do List, hehe! :) xx

Pretty Green

Confession: I bought this silky lil' skirt and happily skipped home thinking "Yay, it'll go with loads of things I've already got and I can style it up real good". Sadly, I was mistaken. It turns out that this darling aztec print number needed smartening up. A lot. Most of my wardrobe is a bit scruffy, and nothing quite went. Gah! In short, it lends itself very well to an evening look, with a bare leg, and a heel. And possibly some jewellery and a chain handle bag. I ended up pairing it with all my go-to basics, and of course, a beanie. (To quote Julia Roberts: Big mistake, HUGE). This skirt deserves better, but I wanted to just show y'all anyway. Sweet Escape

Stripes seem to be all up in your grill at the moment (thanks Lucy Watson) and I have to say, I love 'em. I snapped up this blouse on Saturday when I was in Selfridges. I also had a little venture into the new (and fairly epic) Zara at Marble Arch, and monochrome seems to dominate their new season drops so far. I'm definitely contemplating a nice striped drawstring pant and possibly a striped skinny jean too (depending on how many bars of Galaxy I consume in the near future). This blouse is really perfect for me, as it actually drapes (no mean feat as I have a fat neck, National Geographic rack, wrists like a builder etc etc) AND it only cost £12.99. Result. Have a lovely Monday (or as lovely as the first proper Monday of the year can be) xx

Bright Spark

Yes, I'm wearing a neon beanie. Yes, the world, his wife, his cat and his cleaning lady have got one. Yes, they're reaching fashion saturation to the point where....you probably feel sick just looking at them. BUT.....I.JUST. LOVE.THESE.HATS.TOO.MUCH. (to stop wearing them and buying them!). I know I just raved about these Topshop ones in my last post, but they really are the best. In other outfit news: this textured skater skirt is totes excellent- and will deffo go all the way through to summer. Hope you have a lovely weekend, catch you soon xx

Hello Sunshine

Hey Everyone :) Happy 2013! So, off I went to do a little sale shopping last weekend, and THERE.THEY.WERE. - a bunch of lovely shiny happy new season clothes- staring back at me. I did the only sensible thing a gal can do, and bought them:) I've been absolutely craving a yellow jumper forever and this one has a nice slouchy shape. My new sunglasses are to die, and I'm buzzing that the mirroring shows up really well in photos. Yay! And I've also added another beanie to my collection. Seriously, these ones are the best shape ever- I've got an annoyingly fat head- and they fit soooo well. Hope your new year is off to a good 'un. xx
P.S. Did anyone eat a ton of Segsations over Christmas, like me? God, I'm beyond addicted. Those things are bad bitches!
