Tanned & Tied

I didn't have to debate too long or hard when I first spotted these shoes. I was like, "Size 5, please I'll take 'em" within a matter of micro-seconds. All of a sudden I'm finding black just a touch heavy (Sacrilege! Burn her at the stake!) so tan is my next natural pit-stop. I'm still lacking a tan bag in my life, which vexes me greatly. Having missed out on a Cammello Man Gav (twice), my attention has turned to Building Block. (Big thanks to the dyslexic person who works at Grazia who listed this babe as £140 and not £410 last week.....I  was literally flexing that plastic). Anyway, the search continues, by which time it'll be that moment to start thinking about AW palettes and purchases. You feelin' tan atm? Lemmie know x

Alt-E

Topic Du Jour: Emmanuelle Alt. Basically, if you don't love her we can't be friends. She keeps it real. She keeps it French. She keeps it, perf, essentially. (Although doubtless, like I, you'll have been more than slightly perturbed by her Vogue interview recently where she claimed vociferously that she isn't a feminist. I put this down to her Gallicness, but I'm prepared to forgive and forget and get back to her sick clothes. Bet she's well relieved).
So, this outfit kinda came together inna random way, with images of Manu from Fashion Month whirling round my tiny mind. Couple of problems though straight off the bat: 1) I bought this coaty-jackety thing from H&M and left it in the carrier bag. Hence why it's crunkled beyond all comprehension. Major Soz. and 2) Somehow, I've ended up looking like Jim Carey in 'The Mask'. Soz for that too. Oh, and 3) I was gonna put on a much nicer pair of heels with this outfit (namely: Topshop Slingbacks) but I dint wanna ruin them so the cheapies came out to play instead. Now all that's out the way I can give props to my new fedora, and hope in some teeny tiny way I have channelled a bit of Em-A's dressed-down tomboy chic. Au Reservoir pour now, and furthermore, mange toute Rodney xx

All Summer Long

I've got a horrible addiction- and it's called ASOS. I basically browse on there every day (I know what you're thinking: 'Like, DUH, we all do love'), and I've noticed recently that they seem to style almost everything with a long necklace. All those lovely images must've infiltrated my tiny little fashion brain coz I've seriously gone long necklace cray. This silver one is a birthday prezzie stunner from Links and I also did a bit of self-gifting with a gold feather one by Orelia. The handy thing is, I'm finding they liven up even the dullest of outfits (guilty as charged), comme, this 'un. Is there time for a bit of a shoe chat? (Everyone: 'Always!' Me: 'Cool'). You've probably seen the skinny-heeled Zara black satin mules on many a blogger, and you may have also spied the Aldo suede ones- both of which I heart massively. I actually wanted to get the navy satin H&M ones (which weirdly never seemed to appear in store), but when I spied these- from yep you guessed it- ASOS. I was like...'avin 'em. (Epesh as they were the cheapest out of all of the above). Annnd Brucey Bonus, they're now on sale too. (I got mine with the last 20% thingy they did so I'm not crying into my purse- as per- luckily). Hope your week is off to a beaut start, catch you soon xx
PS Yes, that is a camera lens cap in my pocket, and yes I am pleased to see you.

Pimp My Slides

So, pretty much everyone in the entire world has these slides. No bad thing, I reckon. I'm not normally down with embellishments and tingz of that nature, but these are rocking my world. What however, is not doing much for me, is the rest of my outfit. I've been searching for a denim boyfriend shirt forever, and I still can't find one that doesn't have mother-of-pearl poppers, or isn't in a hard fabric or doesn't cost loads. So I had to drag this very old skinny knackered shirt out from the back of the wardrobe. And it shows. So apologies for that. And I always seem to end up looking like Joey Essex, John Lennon or my Dad in shoots at the minute. Hence the looking-down-ness. Ain't no girl wanting to be looking like any of those three, or worse still, a combo of. So, again, soz. Maybe in my next life I'll look cute- and more importantly- like a girl :) Catch you soon xx

Girls And Boys

I'm still not actually sure what the whole concept of a 'girlfriend' jean is, but when they landed in Topshop a while back I duly trotted along to the changing room clutching a pair and gave them a whirl. Firstly I tried to squish myself into a pair of Size 26s. With a 30 leg. That was top comedy for a start-off. Mostly coz I couldn't get them done up. There is a zero-stretch situation going on here (unlike Jamies and Leighs in which I normally take a 25). Ok, deep breaths, 'you're not actually fat' I told myself (funny how I looked in the mirror and saw Pinocchio staring back at me); as I went for Round 2 with a Size 28. They also had a 30 leg and similarly looked ridick. I thought 'fuck this for a game of soldiers' and wandered off for a Diet Coke and a quick cry. But last week I spied on Toppers website that a new jean style had dropped, namely, the Lucas. I thought they looked priddy damned hot, so I went for another trying-on sesh. Now the Lucas is billed as a 'slim boyfriend' (thanks, I'll take two), but whaddya know- on me they are, basically, skinny. Nice jean an' that, but you've deffo gotta be a lean bitch to get the requisite 'bag'. But, I also took into the changing room with me another girlfriend jean, this time in a 'black wash' finish, Size 28 with a 32 leg. And...we have a winner. I realllly like them. I get them! I'm super-happy! And hopefully now I can stop lusting after some Acne Pop Boyfriends. Long boring story over, catch you soon :) x

Je Suis Anglais

Most of the time I wish I was French. I love eating their food, listening to them chattarge and- most of all- I adore wearing their clothes. I actually live within spitting distance of a Sandro, a Maje, a Comptoir, a Petit Bateau, a Kooples and a Claudie Pierlot. Incroyable. Which makes for an unhappy purse, but a very happy moi. At the moment I particularly can't get enough of a Breton stripe. (You may have noticed). My wardrobe has always been stuffed to bursting point with stripey tops, dresses and tank tops but imagine my excitement when I found this little beaut in H&M recently. Not only is it tres magnifique, but for some reason it was reduced to £7. Double win. I also picked up some new boyfriend jeans when I was in H&M (still working that Glamour voucher discount to the max), and some gorge little slides from Topshop to complete the look. You feelin' stripes this S/S14? Lemmie know! xx

Boho To Soho

So, my new Gucci has smartened up my look a lil' bit, non? My faithful 'Blogger Bag' that you see in mostly every look I shoot is without a doubt beyond practical (I can get several pairs of sunnies in there, a couple of hats and even two pairs of shoes, as well as a camera and a tripod); but it's deffo time to mix it up a bit, and my new bag is the way forward :) I've also got a bit of a pash for anything camel at the minute (anyone who knows me will tell you I've got the hump 99% of the time...see what I did there) but while the search for a camel coat continues, I've had to temporarily feed my beige-craving with this polo-neck which I picked up in the Gap sale and I'm verrrry happy with it too. Hope today isn't dragging too much for you.....if only it would stop freaking raining for five minutes. Catch you soon dolls xx

Eat Sleep Blog Repeat

Another day, another bomber jacket. Apologies to the haters, but I just luv 'em :) This one is more like a heavy-duty cardigan which makes it lovely and cosy to wear, plus it goes with every kind of jean, jegging, legging and jogger. Winner! I went for my boyfriend jeans here, (pure laziness- plus ca change) but I think this look might've shot better with straight up ripped black skinnies in retropsect. Hope you have a lovely weekend, catch you soon xx

The Bomb Dot Com

So, my hauled check sweater has made it into an outfit post, and I have to say I'm luvin' it :) But I've got even more love for my newest jacket purchase- the navy bomber. I adore bomber jackets more than life itself* (spot the slight over-exaggeration) and I'm the very happy owner of several. But I just had to get this 'un to add to my collection. Naturally, one of Little Mix have already been papped in it (gah), but I've got to just suck it up that I keep choosing the same pieces as them, I guess :( Shooting this look was a bit of mare to be honest, what with it being cold and sunny, my battery dying on me, as well as trying to balance on really quite high heels and having three gardeners walking up and down in front of my frames- and worse still- trying to get in them! Men eh? Laterz chicks xx

Easy B

Can we play the whole "Which shoes goes better" game again? A heel is a nice contrast to a boyfriend jean, isn't it? But I'm just too too comfy in my animal print slip-ons :) You call it! I've actually got my eye on H&M's version of the leopard-print skate shoe, but I've been too dog-sick to go a-haulin' for them *Trauma Face* I didn't think I'd be wearing these boyfriend jeans as much as I have - coz- well, I already have two ripped pairs I love a lot. But these have been on almost constant rotation (with my leather-look joggers); and here they're getting their first run-out with one of my new Whistles sweats. I know this outfit isn't gonna stop traffic anytime soon but it deffo sums up my style- lazy ass tomboy :) Much love, catch you soon xx

Mysterious Girl

Ain't gonna lie, it was a bit of a mare shooting this look. First off, it was lashing it down. Second, I was falling all over the place in my heels, and getting very wet feet. Thirdly, my tripod was acting the goat. I think it's busticated as it won't hold the weight of the camera. Every time I tried to get a frame, the camera fell forward enabling me to capture a massively thrilling shot of the ground. Which led to, fourthly, me running over to readjust but not wanting to put my bag on the ground to do so, coz...last time I did that I managed to come home with a slug attached to the bottom of it. *Thoroughly Repulsed Face* I'm one of those silly billies who screams when a wasp flies within a 20 foot radius of me so I was basically, like, having the worst eppie, ever
So, anyway, this is what I managed to come up with. I'm so so so happy with my jacket, doubly, nay triply so, since I saw on Chiara F's Instagram that she's gone and got the same one! The sickness of her life and her looks cannot be underestimated. And I've also gotta show some love for these boyfriend jeans. They are my new fave thing. Somehow I managed to miss H&M's buy one get one half price jeans offer (duh), and now I'm finding I can't print their current 25% discount voucher out. (Computer says no). Such fun. *Miranda Face* Hope your week is going with a lot less technical hitches than mine! Catch you soon xx
