Does Anybody Read Blogs Any More?

So, the simple answer to my question, I guess, is yes. (You're here! You're reading! Thank You!). But maybe it's a little more complex than that (bear with). Perhaps you like to click onto blogs but just look at pretty pictures, and shop a bit? Or, you could be the kinda gal (or guy) who always has the intention to read a blog post, but can never quite find the time. (Feelin' you, and I absolutely love blogs). Whichever way it plays out for you, it is a question that bloggers seem to be grappling with on the regular. (Nil points for originality to me- clearly this is not the first blog post to navel-gaze on the subject). I have to confess that I don't actually wanna be a micro-blogger, although life is certainly a lot easier "just" Gramming. The best bit of advice I ever read on this whole topic came from Lucy Williams. She said- you never ever know what's gonna happen with Instagram (or indeed YouTube). Give or take, you own your blog- (Big Bad Facebook own your Instapics, and Google own your vids)- so you have to keep your own space going. Otherwise, you are basically at the mercy of some deeply unsympathetic geeks in Palo Alto. I like reading blogs (especially if they're well written), I like seeing someone's creative juices flowing and I like scrolling through lots of big pictures one after the other (not just swiping through multi-posts on IG- and just how ugly is that white square thingy anyway?).
I could blather on about this outfit now, or how I lost my mind in Celine recently and bought this Alphabet Necklace that I can ill afford, but that might be just a touch too much reading even for the most devoted blog addict to bother with. Let me know your thoughts.

Summer Luvin' With FarFetch

Despite Autumn approaching at a rapid rate, I'm not ready to give up on Summer just yet. Yes, I'm scanning New-Ins on the daily (speaking of new season drops, my most recent addiction is FarFetch's Designer Clothes New In section which I check every morning like an eager fashion beaver)- but back to summer for a hot minute- and this all white outfit. I just like the simplicity of a tee and a mini, which means I can then throw on whatever accessories take my mood. Nine times out of ten over the Summer I've gone for a straw basket, but this time around I added in my one true love- my Balenciaga Bazar. I can't recommend this bag enough- it's super-light, extremely roomy (you can even get loads in the Baby Bazar if you're looking for a more compact version of this beaut) and of course, it looks sick AF. But with my mind inevitably half into A/W the newest version of the Bazar is this incredible (and extremely tempting) Logo Bag. Is your sartorial mind in the current season or the season to come? Let me know if you're as confused as me! Catch you soon x
PS Don't forget to take a look at FarFetch's excellent editorial section featuring yours truly and a host of other amazing bloggers all talking about our fave travel destinations, and what we wear when we're there!

HONEYBELLE X HOUSE OF SUNNY

I've been a long time fan of House Of Sunny. Their pared down aesthetic with a high-fashion twist is totally up my street; so I was buzzing when they recently hit me up to style some pieces from their amazing Vol 09 Collection. I went for the Stripp Tunic Top and the matching Side Popper Pants. Both pieces are a dream. The fabric is weighty and drapes in the right way and basically makes you feel as cool AF. So few brands embrace both a boyish sensibility and more unusual feminine details, but House Of Sunny definitely have the formula down. Are you a fan of the label? Let me know, catch you soon x

The Mango Obsession

No, we're not talking fruit, but- surprise surprise- clothes. Mango have actually always slayed- albeit- in a slightly more under the radar way than Zara; but this season they've really upped their game with the phenomenal Committed Collection. This low-key selection of neutrals in a bleached-out palette has basically got me wanting to gambol through a field of straw (and trust me when I say I'm usually thoroughly devoted to my sofa). Drawing on the amazing work of Simon Jacquemus (I die) and Stella McCartney's SS17 Collection, every single piece will give you major summer vibes. I went for the paperbag-waist pants which I adore, but these palazzo pants are equally insane. Mango's shoe-game is also incredibly strong RN, and I recently picked up these white leather flats which may just win the medal for the most comfortable shoe of all-time, (and may also just be a teeny bit similar to this very expensive, very beautiful original). You feeling Mango this season?  Let me know, catch you soon x

Honeybelle x Lee

Like most of us, I'm obsessed with denim, and pretty much wear it 24/7/365. So when Lee hit me up recently to style some of their range I was all over it. The first pieces I picked were the classic Rider Jackets. The black one I paired with my fave Adidas trackpants and the blue I teamed with these amazing cream kick flares from Zara (similar designer ones here or cheaper versions here). For jeans I went for the Scarlett Cropped Skinny (in black) which have a useful ankle-zip which you can dial up or down according to your mood or outfit or both. I also chose the Elly Slim Straight Jeans to style. These are what I call a 'proper' pair of jeans- they hold you in (deffo necessary in my case) but are still comfy, I put them with this cute long sleeved tee from Olive & Frank (similar here) and a pair of Vans.

I also recently bought this incred H&M drawstring top which I wore with my final jeans choice the Scarlett High Waist Skinny. These skinnies are literally the most comfortable jeans everrrrr. You know the way most skinnies start to cut off your circulation after a couple of hours (or a big lunch, lolz)? Well, these don't- #winning. What are your fave jeans RN? And which of these looks are you feeling? (If any!) Lemmie know, catch you soon x

H&M Mini Haul

Somewhere along the line, H&M has become my favourite shop in the entire universe. So much so that everything I'm wearing (and sitting on!) in this post is from there. I wasn't even going to buy this oversized grey sweatshirt (as I have so many others #oops) but I saw it on my girl Aga Rolek one too many times to resist. I actually think H&M completely slay at jeans, and these cropped high-waisted ones are ridiculously cheap and come in black too. (I know!). I'd been looking for some kitten heeled slingbacks (that don't cost a bomb) for a while and these cuties totally hit the spot. (If expensive is your thing though, then look no further than these sleek AF Gianvito's. I'd also probably give my right foot for these Man Gavs- which would obviously be a touch silly as I'd be missing a tootsie to put them in). A nice rug with a bit of a pattern has also been on my 'must find' list for a while. I didn't want a full-on shaggy berber, but something a bit less hygge. And whaddya knowthis jacquard-weave cotton one is just what the blogger ordered. Are you an H&M devotee too? Let me know x

Being Pretty vs Being Cool

So, here's the thing-  my dad happens to be short, ginger and pale. And genetics deemed that I should follow is his ghostly-skinned, carrot-topped shoes. (Hi Dad, luv u). There's no doubt I'd infinitely prefer to be leggy and endlessly tanned, but you know- I've got two arms, two legs, I don't have a lisp or a limp so I need to STFU and get on with it, right? And mostly I do. I won't pretend that I don't paint myself in several coats of fake tan on the regz, or that I don't dye my hair once a month to try and make myself just that little bit more brunette, but naturally blessed I am not. (And that's just the tip of iceberg when it comes to my physical deficiencies). However, "trying" to be pretty is actually a helluva lot easier than "trying" to be cool (coz I'm not predisposed to being that either). Coolness can't be bought, nor can it be manufactured. It doesn't come from a contoured face or wearing a Gucci t-shirt. It just is. So why am I trying to be either? Why am I not just busy being 'me'? Well- there's blogging for a start. It requires you to be at least one, if not both. And then there's my unending state of singleness. Boys (in my experience) are always gonna opt for pretty over cool. Therefore in order to date I have to adopt the obvious sartorial tropes that seem to have the most man-appeal. I can do a false-lash or a tight top for a night, but honestly, I'd rather not. (Unfortunately I'm drawn to the kind of blokes who like the ho' look- ballers and ruffnecks, basically). But am I actually naturally a man-repeller where my style is concerned, or just a man-repeller all round? I'm not sure that I'm going to unravel and resolve this whole issue here, but I do feel instinctively that I want to wear what I want to wear, and if I never go on another date again, then fuck it.

So onto the actual deets of this classic boy-repulsing look. Yes! I actually got my hands on the Weekday x Champion trackie (although this seems like a very small victory as they appear to be endlessly restocking). I also recently picked up these pink Air Max, (these and these are also ledge). Do I look cool in this? Probably not. Pretty? Doubtful. Should I stop over-thinking errrrything? Definitely. My Kind Of Party

When I saw the stunning cover of French Vogue earlier this year featuring the ever-so-perfect Luna Bijl, I was instantly smitten. Not only by the perfect Eighties revivalism, but by the unmissable bling. And like a diligent little fashionista, I've been searching for some mahooosive statement diamanté earrings ever since. I found some amazing ones in H&M but the courier lost them (along with a sick jumper and some kitten heels too- thanks for nothing Hermes). Then, I picked up the ones I'm wearing here in Zara- but there are lots of really good versions appearing everywhere now- I like these and these.

I've also gone a little bit cray (in that inevitable Magpie-type way), for silver boots too. I'm feeling the best way to wear an ear-party/foot-party combo is to keep the rest of your outfit low-key. Contrasts are good, right? Let me know if you're feeling blinged-up accents ATM. Also, now seems an opportune moment to say- have a fabulous end to the year and a blinding start to 2017. Lots of love and thank-you to everyone who has followed or commented over the past twelve months- it's appreciated in ways you can't even imagine. *Gwyneth Over-Emosh Speech Face* Catch you soon x

Urban Outfitters x HoneyBelle

Although it has been the most stunningly warm September, my mind has been tuned into new season clothes since I spied *an actual coat* on the rails in a shop that shall remain nameless, way back in July. Basically: fashion waits for no gal (or temperature). So when Urban Outfitters hit me up recently to pick some pieces that are going to take me sartorially through Autumn, my little fashion brain started cogging away like mad. First up- this Champion hoodie- which I'm utterly cray for. I've just paired it here with some old H&M house pants and my much-worn Adilettes, but you can take this baby up the fashion scale quite easily into Vetements territory should you so choose.
Next up- some kicks. If you follow my IG you'll know I'm a hopelessly addicted sneakerhead (soz bank manager), so I didn't hesitate to go for these pink Hamburgs. If you don't know, Hamburgs are an 80s casual classic that have been reissued. I love the low profile and- of course- the colour. (On Wednesdays I wear pink, and on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and.....you get the idea).
Speaking of pink, I also picked up this hoodie, which comes from Urban Outfitters own renewal range. And I've put it together here with some frayed-hem cropped jeans from BDG. I realllllly love BDG as a label- and I already have this pink sweatshirt- which I freaking adore (spotting a pink theme much?).
And my final choices were these incred Adidas pants and jacket. Again, they tap right into that retro hype, and I'm nothing if not an 80s casual at heart. Just put me on a football terrace and call me happy. (Uuuuuu Rrrrsssssss. Big up all my West LDN hoolies). Let me know what you think of these pick ups- quite frankly- I'm buzzing. Catch you soon xx
